What Types of Hash Are Available at Licensed BC Dispensaries

The licensed Canadian market carries several hash formats. Bubble hash, also called ice water hash, is made by agitating cannabis in ice water and filtering the trichomes through mesh screens. It comes in different grades based on how fine the filtration is. Higher grade bubble hash, often called full melt, dissolves cleanly when dabbed. Lower grades are better suited to a bowl or joint.

Imported hash styles like Lebanese or Moroccan are also sold at some licensed retailers in BC, though availability depends on what BCLDB has in allocation. If you grew up smoking traditional hash, the imported styles will be the closest reference point to what you are used to.

Pressed rosin is a separate concentrate but worth mentioning because some customers looking for hash are really looking for a solventless product. Rosin is made by applying heat and pressure to flower or bubble hash, producing a full-spectrum extract without any solvent. It is more expensive than most hash but the effect and flavour are both considered superior by experienced concentrate users.
