What's the Best Indica Edible for Sleep in Canada

Coastal Green · 2026

This is not medical advice and we are not healthcare providers. If you are dealing with serious sleep issues, a doctor is the right starting point. That said, people do use cannabis edibles before bed and we get asked about this regularly at our downtown Vancouver and Mount Pleasant locations. Here is what we actually know and carry.

Why Ratio Matters More Than Indica vs Sativa

The indica and sativa classification on a product label is a marketing convention based on plant lineage. What actually predicts sedation in an edible is cannabinoid content. CBN, CBD, and myrcene-heavy terpene profiles are consistently associated with relaxation and sedation. A CBN-dominant ratio gummy labelled as hybrid can produce a much stronger sleep effect than a pure THC indica gummy. We see this in customer feedback consistently.

What to Look For on the Label

Look for CBN content specifically. Products with 5mg CBN combined with 5mg THC per piece are a solid starting point for using edibles to support sleep. Onset time for edibles is 45 minutes to two hours. Taking an edible for sleep means dosing well before you want to sleep, typically 60 to 90 minutes before bed. Eat something first if you find onset is inconsistent on an empty stomach.

What We Carry

Both Vancouver locations carry CBN-containing products in the edibles section. Stock rotates based on BCLDB availability but we keep options in this category consistently because demand is steady. Tuesday is our edibles deal day with 15% off the full section. Come in and ask what is currently in the CBN or sleep-oriented category and the team will show you what is on the shelf.
